Happy Birthday to Kingdom Power Now Newsletter!!
It was one year ago, this week that we sent out our first newsletter! Wow, 51 newsletters ago!! In
response to this we will be making a large announcement next week! One that you will be interested in!
This week, however, we will be having our bi-weekly A.C.T.S. (All Churches Training Service) on Saturday
night at 6 pm. We will have worship, Kingdom teaching and prayer for your needs. Please feel free to join
us, we will be meeting in Rainier Assembly of God Fellowship Hall.
Now, I would like to share with you some excellent teaching on fasting by one of our team members. This
is meant to go along with the 40 day National call to fast that was sent out last week. Please enjoy.

In the book of Matthew we find a young lunatic taken before the disciples for ministry. They fail. Then the lunatic is
taken before Christ who promptly heals him. From there we read:
Matthew 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said
unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, ye shall
say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto
you. 21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
We’ve discussed before that Jesus fasted often. He had, if you will, a savings in a bank account of fasting to draw
from. Jesus didn’t have to say to the young man “let me get back with you in a couple of days after I’ve fasted” but
instead He was able to draw from a life of constant fasting and prayer. I’m not trying to imply that Jesus never ate. Of
course He ate. But He knew something important about fasting.
We’ve been taught that fasting proves to God and ourselves that we are serious about what we are praying for. We
are also taught that fasting is a sacrifice on our part. I believe that all of that is good and true but I also believe that
Jesus understood thousands of years ago what medical science is proving today. Too much food can dull the
senses. Have you ever heard of someone who is depressed eating food to dull the pain? I know that when I pray to
God for answers, I expect them. In other words, I expect Him to answer me. And while I am waiting for an answer I
don’t want anything standing between me and that answer. I don’t know about you but I personally don’t want my
judgment clouded or my ears dulled.
We are to pray the will of God like Jesus Christ did:
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself,
but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20 For the
Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these,
that ye may marvel.
And in verse 30
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but
the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Did you know that when you pray the will of God He always answer the prayer. Notice I didn’t say your will but His.
The only way to know His will is to listen for Him. This is how I believe Jesus prayed when a need arose. “Father,
show me the need.” Then He’d wait for the Father's answer. “This is what to pray for Son.” And then Christ would
pray that answer back as a request, thus being in the Father’s will. This all requires two-way conversation. The next
time you find yourself in need of an answer from the Lord, try listening. Listening for an answer that means so much
to you that you’ll let nothing get between you and hearing directly from the Lord.
Sincerely,
