Good Morning,
We are excited about this week's A.C.T.S. Service (All Churches Training Service). New Song Worship Center in
Lexington will be hosting this and providing the worship at 6 pm on Saturday, March 24. This awesome church is
located at 161 Aaron Dr., Kelso, WA. This is easy to find, by going north on Westside Hwy. (from Kelso) through
Lexington until you pass Riverside Park. You will then take a left on Aaron Drive, where you will see a sign for New
Song Worship Center. You will then proceed to the third left, where you will see the church building about a block
away. You can also visit their web site and see a map to their location (www.kelsonewsong.org) We will be looking
forward to seeing you there!

Please read on! Rocky began sharing a great lesson with us last week and finishes it this week. You will be blessed.

Last week we discussed the importance of a healthy root system to a Christian and this week I promised to share with
you how to help strengthen and expand this system.

God’s creation lends us a good visual example through the tree. This is not surprising since God’s Word tell us in
Romans 1:19 “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

Christians can be compared to trees.  Some are like a tree with little or no roots.  The roots are no deeper than what
you see at the surface.  They might even appear and sound healthy but with their shallow roots they have little hope
of making it through the first winter or storm.  And others are like trees that send down roots so deep that they can be
strong for hundreds of years.

I believe that the Church has done a pretty decent job of convincing people about the Truth of Salvation. Keeping
their soul from hell, but most of the time that’s all the deeper they go.  What about the Truth of Salvation for this life-
time.  What does God have for us in the here-and-now?

Healing has to be more than knowing “it’ll be okay when ya get to heaven.” Especially to those that are hurting RIGHT
NOW!  And the prophetic word has to be more than what the Biblical prophets had to say thousands of years ago
(though what they said is true for today and not out of date).  God’s people are in need of personal direction TODAY
and they’re suffering from lack of personal encouragement RIGHT NOW!  (This does NOT mean that we are elevating
prophecy above scripture, but instead prophecy should emphasize scripture.)

What has that got to do with roots?  Let me try and bring this home for you.  I believe your roots only go down as deep
as your belief or faith.  Sometimes seeing or experiencing, really is believing.  I also believe that when you’ve allowed
God to use you in the realm of the supernatural (RISK), and you physically see miracles and other manifestations of
the Holy Spirit occurring it becomes real for you.  But in order for this to happen, someone has to step out without
seeing the results! According to scripture, this is faith.

Trees have a canopy.  As the rain hits the top of this canopy it rolls down, shedding much like a roof. Much of this
moisture ends up draining outward, off the end of the branches. As the rain drops to the ground, the tree’s roots have
already grown out further and deeper seeking the life sustaining properties of the moisture and further anchoring the
tree. Likewise, a Christian seeking an anchor in the storms of this life must choose to reach out with their limbs in faith
so God can pour out on them His mercy and grace.  As this mercy and grace rolls off our physical canopy and you
see with your own eyes how good our GOD is, your spiritual roots go down deeper and reach out further.    And each
time you experience more, the deeper and further the roots go.  And then you realize that in the process of your roots
going deeper, God has filled you up and then poured out of you His help for the sick, His help for the burdened, and
His help for the lost. Thank you, Jesus for stretching us.
Are you willing to be stretched beyond where you are today?
