Newsletter for 10/12/06-
What are you Risking?
Back to Newsletters
Good Morning,
I am attaching at the bottom of this email an invitation to Renewed Hope Ministries Prophetic Presbytery Time. This is
an awesome ministry that we have been blessed several times by. Their Senior Pastor Bob Hill has been a great
encouragement, example and mentor for our team. He is a true Apostolic Leader. Please take a look at it. Also, we
will be offering our Bible Study on Oct. 21 in the Rainier Assembly of God Fellowship Hall. This is open to everyone
and we offer a time of ministry. So if you are in need of healing or a prophetic word, please come expecting.
I want to talk to you today about the word Risk. This is not usually a popular word unless you are talking about stocks
or hobbies. We like to talk about how much risk an investment does or doesn't have. There are some (I am not one of
them!) that like to talk about risk when it comes to parachuting or hang gliding or bungee jumping, etc. I on the other
hand do not see the need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!
However, I am asked once a week whether I have taken any risk in the last week. This question deals with whether I
have taken any ministry risks. To some that doesn't sound good, but let me explain. The accountability group that I
am in asks each member every week the following questions-
Have you been reading your Bible this week?
Have you been praying this week?
Have you been worshipping this week?
Have you taken any risks this week?
Now risk in our group means have you stepped out in faith, where you could be embarrassed if God doesn't show
up? Have you prayed for someone to be healed miraculously and then asked for them to give you results? (i.e.
improved range of movement, difference in the pain level, physical manifestation of a difference) Or give someone a
prophetic word. Many times this is a stranger or new acquaintance. Sometimes, it is someone that we have known or
gone to church with. Basically, it is climbing so far out on the limb, that if it is not God then the limb can be sawed off,
letting us drop to the ground.
I was reminded this week that if you want the best fruit, you must climb out to the end of the limb where there is more
sunlight and better fruit. The point of all of this risk is not to make a fool out of ourselves or God, but instead to listen
to the Lord and do what He tells us, when He tells us. We have to be listening to the Lord in order to be successful in
these endeavors.
John 5:19- Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself,
but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
Jesus is our great example and like John 5:19, He did exactly what His Father told Him to. Not more and not less. This
should be our example as well. We should hearing from Him on these important issues. (We don't need to consult Him
on whether we should Cheerios or Corn Flakes for breakfast!) We should be hearing His voice on how to pray for
someone and what is the future for their life.
What kind of risk have you taken this week? You don't have to start huge, but it is good to start!! Begin to ask the
Lord to reveal to you throughout the day how you can minister to people and bless them. Then when He speaks to
you, DO IT!!!! He will not let you down!
Working while it is still day,

Saturday October 21st from 1:30-3:30 RHM will provide a ministry time with our Prophetic Presbytery Team. This is
free and each ministry time will be taped and given to the participant. We have a limited amount of time slots for
Saturday; you must make your reservation by Friday 4:00 pm.

If you have never been to a Prophetic Presbytery, this is what will take place. You make a reservation by calling our
office at 360-258-8703 or email rhmprophetic@comcast.net or renewedhope@pacifier.com. Just leave your name
and phone. We will phone or email you with your ministry time.

When you arrive you will meet with a Presbytery Team for approximately 15 minutes. Each session is private and
recorded. You will receive the only copy of the tape. This will allow you to weigh and pray about your ministry time.

Our teams are trained and have been together for many years. Individuals who have received this ministry have
always been exhorted, comforted and edified.

Blessings Pastor Bob Hill
