Greetings!!
We pray that you are having a wonderful and fruitful spring! We would like to invite you to join us for the biweekly
ACTS service at 6 pm, Saturday in the Rainier Assembly of God Fellowship Hall. This is a time of fellowship, teaching
and ministry. Everyone is welcome!
Now a great word from one of our team members, Rocky Sandberg:
The Word tells us that “It’s by His kindness that we come to repentance.” Kind words certainly do turn away wrath
the same as love covers a multitude of sin.
Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for
Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Most people know when they’ve made mistakes. They expect condemnation, finger pointing, name calling. Let me
tell you something they do not expect—being loved in spite of their shortcomings. Many in the church today believe
that a pound of flesh must be first extracted from those who are in sin before restoration can occur. I’ve even heard
some zealous Christians cry “compromise” if a sinner is shown love before their repentance occurs.
1 John 4:7 “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of
God, and knoweth God.
I recently was told a testimony that happened in Spokane, Washington. It’s certainly worth repeating:
“A team member from the Spokane Healing Rooms named Linda approached Director Cal Pierce with a desire to
deliver Christmas gift boxes to dancer’s at a local topless strip club named “The Rainbow Club”. Linda recently had
been completely healed by God from AID’s through prayer at the Spokane Healing Rooms and had been saved from
a life with a colorful past. Cal gave his approval and the gift boxes were delivered to the girls. There wasn’t a dry eye
in the place. No one had ever thought of these girls at Christmas. Linda returned again on Valentines Day with
roses for the girls. It touched the owner of the bar and he encouraged Linda and told her that the doors were
opened to her. A few days later Linda called the bar owner up with a request to hold a banquet for the girls and the
local street people on the upcoming Easter holiday. He reminded her that “we are a topless strip club you know”
which she assured him she hadn’t forgotten. He gave his okay and before long word got out and many were
volunteering to help. The Hilton hotel volunteered to cater the event including the table settings. Local worship bans
provided live entertainment and the event was a huge success. The homeless were rounded up from the
surrounding streets and many were blessed. As the evening came to a close the topless bar owner approached
Linda with tears in his eyes. He confessed to her that he had been a pastor but had fallen into sin. That night he
rededicated his life to the Lord. Today, the Rainbow Club has been closed and a church has reopened on its site.
Other churches have sprung up on the street as bars have closed down and Teen Challenge actually has opened up
a site a few doors down from the old topless strip club.” Yeah God!!!
Church, think how many lives were changed by Linda’s acts of kindness. We need to quit waiting for the lost to
walk in our doors and walk into theirs. And when we do, we better be prepared to show them some kindness.
God bless, Rocky Sandberg and the Kingdom Power Now Ministry Team
