Greetings! Please join us this Saturday night for our biweekly A.C.T.S. (All Churches Training Service). This is an
opportunity for worship, teaching and ministry. This meeting is in the Rainier Assembly of God Fellowship Hall at 6 pm
on Saturday night.
Now some teaching from our team member, Rocky Sandberg-
David said “Oh God of my righteousness; you made room for me when I was in straights” Psalms 4:1 The enemy had
plans to destroy David but God saw an opportunity to enlarge or grow David. Today, this day, God continues to
enlarge us through straits (or trials) and enrich our faith through times of lacking.
Aren’t we told in Revelation 21 the future glorious condition of the church as seen by God? Verse 11 reveals that
“her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, as clear as crystal; and the city was pure gold, like clear
glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone.” This shows us the riches and
the enlargement of the church as it appears before Him one day.
Just what does it mean to be enlarged in the Spirit realm? Psalms 4:1 speaks of while one is in straits and has the
thing (trial) in right perspective, God can enlarge him until he can enjoy God. Let me give you an example of what I
mean by the right perspective. Those three boys thrown in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3) were thrown in their not by
God but by the enemy. It’s safe to say that they had a fairly good opinion of God before they were thrown in. It’s safer
to say that as they were joined by Jesus Christ, kept by Jesus Christ while in the fiery furnace and eventually came
out not even smelling of smoke, that their opinion of God had been enlarged.
Those who were imprisoned and whose feet were secured in locks, yet still praised and sung hymns to God (Acts 16:
24-25) were the ones who enjoyed God. Although the gates of the prison were locked, those who are locked inside
enjoy the Lord’s presence. These are the enlarged ones.
The Holy Ghost enlarges us through distress. Unfortunately many people 'end themselves" before they reach the
Lord’s end. Many stumble while in distress. These are distressed but not enlarged. Some even murmur against God
while in distress, as a result they are trapped by their own trials. These are not enlarged.
If a Christian wants to help others he must allow the Spirit to lead him through to victory. How can one who can barely
supply their own needs expect to help others supply their needs. In order for us to become that church spoken of in
Revelation chapter 21 we must walk in faith toward that goal. To live your Christian life as if God’s vision of us will not
be fulfilled until some distant time way in the future is only postponing the Glory of God. And why would you want to do
that?
God bless, Rocky Sandberg and the Kingdom Power Now Team
